Make Older Programs Run in Windows 7 – Windows 7

After installing Windows 7, some of us might face problems with some software’s that have compatibility issues with Windows 7. Most of the programs that is written for Windows Vista will also work for Windows 7. So, the concern is more on programs that are written for Windows XP or older. However, with Windows 7 Program Compatibility troubleshooter, you can easily make older programs to run in Windows 7.

To run the Program Compatibility troubleshooter:

  1. Open the Program Compatibility troubleshooter by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under Programs, click Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.
  2. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

 

WARNING: Do not use the Program Compatibility troubleshooter on older antivirus programs, disk utilities, or other system programs because it might cause data loss or create a security risk.
